Fast-food chain Arby’s took a big chance when it announced it would serve venison sandwiches in some restaurants for about a month, starting Oct. 28.

It seems that risk paid off, because all participating Arby’s restaurants in Minnesota and Wisconsin have sold out of the sandwich, some in 20 minutes.

A spokesperson for the chain said many guests traveled “a great distance” to try the sandwich, a deer meat steak with crispy onions on a roll.

The participating restaurants were in St. Louis Park, St. Cloud, Cloquet, Minn., and Superior, Wis.

The sandwich was supposed to be on those menus until Nov. 28.
