As reported by R.S.Kachanovsky on the IDLE-sig list, and comfirmed by me with 3.2.2 on Win 7, entering a replace term ending with '\', like 'test\', in the find/replace dialog box causes IDLE to crash, as in do nothing for a couple of seconds and then close all windows. A find term in either a find or find/replace box with a \ anywhere causes a beep. This means that one cannot search for test containing such, but that is better than crashing (which has the same effect). |
