Richard is correct. From 17.1.1.2. Popen Constructor "If env is not None, it must be a mapping that defines the environment variables for the new process; these are used instead of inheriting the current process’ environment, which is the default behavior." (followed by Window note about SystemRoot.) The paragraph about shell=True in 17.1.1.1. Frequently Used Arguments suggests that that might work (but see warning). |
