Thanks Paul, that will probably be helpful somehow.  I was expecting the opposite.  Hmmmm.

Box comes up after cntl-space or time delay after key char.  I have time delay much shorter than default.  I do what Tal said  -- type a couple of letters, then sometimes use down arrow key, I guess I learned years ago not to click, and had forgotten, so I seldom have a problem.  But I completely understand that a new user could get very upset.
