From the PEP 540 This mode is off by default, but is automatically activated when using the "POSIX" locale. Add the -X utf8 command line option and PYTHONUTF8 environment variable to control UTF-8 Mode. https://docs.python.org/3.7/using/cmdline.html#envvar-PYTHONUTF8 I think you can set it to 0 from the docs yo see if it has any effect. |
