Since test_gdb only failed on your buildbot, I close the issue. As I wrote, I'm unable to reproduce the issue on my FreeBSD 12 VM. It's not easy to debug if I don't have a full access (root user) to the issue. Moreover, honestly, I'm not really excited to debug this issue :-)
