AFAIK there are no major issues with tix-8.1.3 and Python 2.x and it should be a simple drop in of a cannonically compiled Tix. If there are any issues that need dealing with at Tix's end, I'll be glad to put out a new minor release of Tix to address them. On Python's end I've suggested a fix for http://python.org/sf/564729 FYI, please also see my comments for bug 632323.
