Superman pretends to become obsessed with turning a profit for his good deeds. He soon accumulates an impressive amount of cash and opens up his own bank. He buys airlines, copper mines, and any business that directly competes with Cyrus Brand. He forces Brand to produce more counterfeit money. In doing so Brand reveals the location of his counterfeit operation and Superman is able to swoop in and bust his crime ridden scheme. Superman then reveals that he was able to use his xray vision to detect the phony bills. They seemed to give a weird glow and he soon discovered that the phony bills had already permeated the economy. He secretly met with the treasury department to discuss his plan to bust Cryus Brand by collecting as much money from his operations and slowly weeding out his fake bills. Synopsis for Clark Kent: "Requiem for a Hot Rod!"

Clark and Lois are driving down the highway when they are forced off the road by a character who calls himself Coffin Crowley. Their car veers down a steep embankment but Clark is able to use his super powers to prevent any harm to his car or to Lois. They soon discover an abandoned airfield where Crowley congregates with fellow hot rodders. They challenge each other to games of chicken to see who will drive off the road first. Crowley enjoys these competitions and always seems to have an advantage over his fellow competitors. Clark challenges Crowley to a contest and actually wins. He forces Crowley to drive off the road. Clark then reveals that Crowley uses a special medallion mounted to the hood of his vehicle. The medallion gives off a strong reflective glare that forces drivers to veer to the right at the last second. Clark states that he was able to avoid the glare with the use of his sunglasses. Crowley marches off in humiliation once his strategy is revealed by Clark Kent.
