Hercules

Hercules (born Herakles) is a great warrior and hero in Greek mythology. He is renowned for his incredible strength, as the son of a human woman and the god Zeus. Despite his heroic reputation, he has been an antagonist to Wonder Woman and is guilty of raping her mother, Hippolyta. In the modern era, he has also used the alias of the Champion. The mythological form of Hercules is also one of the beings who gives Captain Marvel his powers.

Hercules was adapted for DC Comics by William Moulton Marston and Harry G. Peter, first appearing in All-Star Comics #8 (1942).
