A&O Technology, an international manufacturer and distributor of lighting technology for architectural and entertainment applications, recently upgraded the strobe lighting system of the Burj Al Arab in Dubai, UAE.

The new Vigilant line offers the L-864/L-865 dual medium intensity red/white strobe in the same small and light weight housing as the L-864, which results in a 5-pound weight reduction.

The IO buffer technology determines voltage levels of a signal on the interface, as well as the timing with respect to the synchronizing signal; for example, data (or address or command or control) signal valid time with respect to clock or strobe from a driving IO buffer, and setup and hold times of data signals with respect to clock or strobe required by the receiving IO buffer.

When new speakers need to be added to a current system, such as when a new tenant divides a space in a different manner, or when wiring is replaced, Local Law 58 requires strobe lights be installed as well.

The principle of using a strobe light to freeze an image of printed material at full production speed remains the same, but the technology constantly improves.
