Background[]
He was a detective in a police department in Mariner Valley. When the rings opened on the other side of the slow zone from the Sol gate, he was one of the earliest to realize that, with over 1300 new systems, it will be another gold rush and the "dreams of great Mars" were gone.
He was contacted by some people who were ready to pay a lot of money for scrapped Martian tech. He recruited several people in his team such as Leelee and later Bobbie Draper and started operating on the black market.
