FR Abilities (abbreviated from Force Ability) are an advanced class of moves in Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia. These powerful skills occupy a space between BT abilities and their enhanced BT+ versions, but remain above EX, LD, and EX+ skills.

Mechanics[]

As with EX, LD, and BT skills, FR abilities are present only on 7-star weapons, further identified by their purple relic cards with a spiral galaxy design behind them. These weapons are obtained via the in-game gacha with better odds than BT weapons (~5%) and will also trigger a brief tutorial with the first of their kind drawn by the player.

Equipping the weapon as-is will grant the character a single use of the ability. At the top of the play screen are Force Gauges for the enemy (red, left) and the player (blue, right). Only when one of these gauges is filled can an FR ability normally be invoked. When invoked, the user will call a designated partner to help them execute a powerful blow, after which the player will be given five turns to build up their DPS gauge as far and as fast as possible within the allotted time. During this time as well, any compatible allies can also contribute to the DPS gauge, located below the Force Gauge at the top of the screen. All extended damage will be displayed in gold. The Force Gauge will be fully depleted when all Force time expires, at which point it must be rebuilt to activate another FR ability. Fully limit-breaking an FR weapon will extend Force time to a full 10 turns, and will add one use to the attached ability, also granting said ability as an equippable passive skill. Once mastered, the FR weapon will turn blue in color and gain a rank.

Abilities compatible with Force time will be highlighted with a blue outline. The FR user and compatible party members will also receive the ability to Force Enhance, increasing overall damage output.
