Mind Break (マインドブレイク, Maindo Bureiku?), also known as Mindbreak, Rend Magick, Rend Mind, and Mindblow, is a recurring ability in the Final Fantasy series. It is an ability that damages one target's MP by a significant amount or lowers the target's Magic Power, similar to the ability Magic Break.

Final Fantasy VII[]
Mindblow is a Limit Level 1 ability for Barret, obtained after using Big Shot 9 times. Barret fires a blue ball of energy at a single enemy, completely depleting its MP. The ability is treated as a Gravity-elemental attack.
Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis[]

Description
Mind Break is an ability learned by Ramza at level 21 (5★), Meliadoul at level 45 (5★), Mercenary Ramza at level 61 (6★), and Argus. It costs 12 MP to use and deals 1 hit of physical damage with a modifier of 1.8x and reduces MAG by 40% for 5 turns to one enemy. Ramza's and Argus' version can be upgraded to +2. If used after Blade of Justice +2 (for Mercenary Ramza), it reduces MAG by 60% instead. For Argus, it has a modifier of 70x and reduces MAG by 85% instead.
Mindblow is an ability learned by Barret at level 39 (4★). It costs 24 MP and deals physical damage with a modifier of 0.3x that drains 30% MP dealt and reduces SPR by 45% for 3 turns to one enemy.
