Silver Bow (銀の弓 or 銀の弓矢, Gin no Yumi or Gin no Yumiya?) is a recurring bow in the Final Fantasy series. It is generally a weak bow that provides no additional bonuses. It is part of silver equipment. Another weapon called Argentic Bow has also sometimes been localized as "Silver Bow".

Description

Silver Bow is a low-ranked bow, providing 38 Attack and 70 Hit Rate. It can be bought for 1,500 gil at Jachol or stolen from Mykale.

Final Fantasy XII[]

Silver Bow is a low-ranked bow. In the original PlayStation 2 version, it provides 22 Attack, 36 CT, and 5% Critical rate. It requires the Bows 1 license to equip, and can bought for 1,000 gil at Rabanastre, Dalmasca Westersand, Nalbina Fortress, Bhujerba, and Dreadnought Leviathan.

In the Zodiac versions, it now provides 19 Attack, 36 CT, and 5% Critical rate, and requires the Bows 2 license for 20 LP. It can now be bought for 720 gil at Rabanastre, Nalbina Fortress, and Barheim Passage.

The bazaar set for the Sagittarius (original) or the Dhanusha (Zodiac), is also called "Silver Bow".

The silver bow is a low-ranked bow that provides 5 attack. It can be bought for 1,500 gil at a castle town outfitter after the events on Lenalian Plateau in chapter 1 and found as rare treasure at Fovoham Windflats. Enemy archers also wield is between levels 6 and 10.

Etymology[]

Silver often carries connotations of "second-best", especially when contrasted with gold.
