Stardust Ray (スターダストレイ, Sutādasuto Rei?) is a recurring ability originally from Final Fantasy VII. Associated with Red XIII, it causes stars to rain down on enemies, hitting multiple enemies.

Appearances[]

Final Fantasy VII[]

Stardust Ray is a Limit Break used by Red XIII. It is made available once Red XIII uses Blood Fang seven times. It rains stars down on enemies, hitting them ten times randomly for 58 normal damage each time.

Final Fantasy VII Remake[]

Stardust Ray is an ability used by Red XIII as a guest. The ability is akin to a second level Limit Break, as it hits multiple times for moderate damage while also greatly filling the stagger bar: it is mainly used during the battle against the Arsenal, when it's pressured.

Red XIII uses Stardust Ray in combination whit Barret's Fire in the Hole Limit Break to damage the Whisper Harbinger after each one of his lesser minions has been defeated by the main party.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth[]

Etymology[]

[view · edit · purge]Stardust is a type of cosmic dust composed of particles in space. Cosmic dusts are miniature particles, which resemble dust itself. When cosmic dusts form a cloud in space, any light from stars will be refracted and nebulae will be formed. Although called "dust", stardust can refract more light depending on its size due to its refractory minerals.
