The Suparna (スパルナ, Suparuna?), also known as the Sparna, is a recurring creature in the Final Fantasy series, first appearing in Final Fantasy Mystic Quest. It is often associated with Garuda and Chirada.

Final Fantasy XIV[]

Final Fantasy XV[]
Suparna from Final Fantasy XIV appears as a boss encountered alongside Chirada and Garuda in Perpetouss Keep during the Adventurer from Another World sidequest.
Final Fantasy XVI[]
Suparna appears as a boss encountered alongside Chirada in Caer Norvent, both being egis summoned by Benedikta Harman, Dominant of Garuda. While both egis are alive they can use the unique tandem ability Perfect Storm to bombard Clive with a rapid series of attacks. When one of the egis is defeated, the survivor will use Inheritance, drastically improving its capabilities.
Final Fantasy Mystic Quest[]
The Sparna appears as an enemy encountered in the Wintry Cave.
Final Fantasy Brave Exvius[]
Suparna from Final Fantasy XIV appears as a boss encountered alongside Chirada and Garuda during the "March on Garuda" crossover event, while Suparna & Chirada from Final Fantasy XVI appear as a single enemy during the "Rosfield" event.
Etymology[]
Suparna is one of many names attributed to Garuda. [view · edit · purge]Garuda is a large, birdlike creature that appears in both Hinduism and Buddhism. It serves as Lord Vishnu's mount and is the Hindu name for the constellation Aquila. Contemporary representations of Garuda are the brahminy kite and phoenix.
