Underground Prison is a dungeon located under Figaro Castle in the Desert Region of Grymoire in World of Final Fantasy. It is the only setting in Chapter 14, "Lost Powers" and the starting location of Chapter 15, "The Mako Reactor and the Black Mages".

Story[]

Conditions[]

The following conditions occur during the entirety of Chapter 14:

• Mirages, Mirage Boards, Mirajewels and Champions will be unavailable when the dungeon is fist visited. There will also be no Gates or access to the Prism Case.
  • As a result of this, any Cogna captured will not be able to be upgraded (though they will still gain levels).
  • As Tama is also separated from Lann and Reynn during this chapter, if the player's party is defeated in battle, they receive a Game Over.
• There are no random encounters in the dungeon. Enemy Searchers will be seen patrolling at set points along the dungeon. If seen, a battle will commence.
  • Trash bins can be found near most of the patrol routes. Examining one will cause the party to jump in and can be used to evade the Searcher unit's sight.
• Capturing at least one Searcher will allow for Zap points to be opened, as it will have the ability by default.

Locations[]

Ophion 1

Contains a Gate that appears after the events of Chapter 14.

Ophion 2

Consists of three floors. At the beginning of Chapter 14, the player initiates an unwinnable battle with a Magitek Armor and another battle with a Searcher on the top floor. There is a patrolling Searcher on the bottom floor.

Ophion 3

Consists of three floors. There are two patrolling Searchers on the top floor, and one on the middle and bottom floors. There are also Trash Bins in each floor the player can hide in.

Ophion 4

Consists of three floors. There is one Searcher on the top and middle floors. There is a Trash Bin in the middle floor. At the bottom floor contains a Save Crystal and a boss fight with a Death Machine at the end of the area.

On the other side of the stairway on the bottom floor is a broken pathway leading to the Secret Ophion. Once the player regains access to their Mirages at the beginning of Chapter 15, the player can use a Mirage with the Flutter ability to fly over it.

Secret Ophion

A secret area. The player can encounter a Mist Dragon here (which the player fights two of in battle).

Ophion 5

At the center of this area is the entrance to Mako Reactor 0. At the beginning of Chapter 15, the player faces an unwinnable battle against Shelke here.
