Audit Program
The process by which an auditor reviews activities to identify inefficiencies, reduce costs, and otherwise achieve organizational objectives. The auditing process differs each time an audit occurs, depending on the client's size, complexity, and other factors. However, the auditing process always aims to ensure the accuracy of reports and compliance with regulations and policies. See also: Audit, Auditing procedure.
