This is a maintenance release to revitalize this project. It will contain updates related to dependencies, documentation, developer infrastructure (tooling), and commits (from 0.8.0 in 2022 to whatever HEAD is at when this date is reached).

There may be some changes released with this that are technically features, but to reduce the maintenance burden of playing catch-up, this will not be looked at too closely.

Please note that the due date for this milestone is a target, not a steadfast commitment. It may be adjusted as needed by the maintainers.
