👋 Hello, I am Greg. I am a Professor of Computer Science at HES-SO Valais and Director of the Science & Industry Machine Learning Laboratory (SIMLab). My focus is on robust machine learning and the intersection of AI and simulation.

I have the privilege to work at the intersection of academia and industry with a mission to bring robust and reliable AI/ML solutions to the real world, with a focus on increasing resilience and tackling complexity of systems and environments.

🤖 𝗔𝗜 + 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀: I pioneered AI/ML at Cisco with 4 flagship products at the intersection of AI and large-scale software and distributed systems, e.g., cybersecurity, enterprise networks, and the Internet. Portfolio of 5000+ enterprise customers, including many Fortune 50/500.

🚀 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽: I hired more than 50 engineers into Cisco, across 3 engineering teams built from the ground up, and multiple disciplines: data engineering, machine learning, cloud, backend, and frontend.
