Refactor reverse-proxy.md to be shorter and easier to follow by Copilot · Pull Request #7794 · nextcloud/all-in-one
reverse-proxy.md was 1191 lines with significant redundancy: ~15 identical "Please note: look into this" warnings, duplicated overview/step-by-step sections saying the same thing, repeated Cloudflare Tunnel vs Proxy explanations, and verbose docker flag prose inline with the command.
Changes
- Overview consolidated — Combined Introduction + "Choosing Your Approach" into a single scannable table + short subsections
- Setup flow simplified — Removed duplicate "Quick overview" and "Step-by-Step Instructions" sections; replaced with one numbered list of required/optional steps
- Removed ~15 repeated warnings — Every proxy config ended with
⚠️ Please note: look into this to adapt the config; replaced with a single note at the top of the configs section - Docker flags moved to collapsible —
<details>block keeps the explanations available without cluttering the startup command - Trimmed per-section noise — Redundant "Hint"/"Advice" tips that restated earlier content removed from individual proxy sections
- All technical configs preserved unchanged — Apache, Caddy, Nginx, Traefik 2/3, HAProxy, NPM, Node.js, Synology, IIS, etc.
Result: 1034 lines (down from 1191, net −443/+286).
