hello,
i am a developer of scikit-rf, an RF/microwave module. within this module i have various VI's that have been written with pyvisa.

i recently had the need to connect to the same instruments over a different interface ( TCP/IP). while searching around i discovered the new pyvisa/lantz (@hgrecco), slave(@p3trus), and python-ivi/python-vx11 packages.

are these all providing different things? is there any interest in consolidation?

if not, perhaps we could collaborate on a page that compares/contrasts the differences between the available systems?
