How to help Vimwiki?!

Vimwiki has a lot of users but only very few recurring developers, maintainers and people helping otherwise. This leads a large number of open Issues, Pull requests and few people helping others in the chat. To build a vimwiki community we'd appreciate your help. You can help whether you are a developer or not!

What can I do as a developer?

  • Fix a bug – there are plenty!
  • Review an open Pull request to make it easier for maintainers to decide if it should be merged.
  • Add a feature
  • Apply as a maintainer (More maintainers for vimwiki #624)

What can I do without coding skills?

  • Test if you can reproduce an issue (and comment on the issue)
  • Test or figure out if old issues are still valid (and comment on the issue)
  • Apply for right to "triage issues" (will give it to everyone who's willing to help) and add labels to the issues.
  • Test an open Pull request to make it easier for maintainers to decide if it should be merged.
  • Join #vimwiki on IRC (libera.chat) or and help others with their questions
  • If you know of any plugins or tools that work together with vimwiki add them to this list
  • Improve the vimwiki-homepage
  • Create a screencast explaining vimwiki usage
