Erik Gahlin - Consulting Member of Technical Staff

Erik is working in the Java Platform Group on the Hotspot JVM and JDK Flight Recorder. He is responsible for the API design and implementation of the jdk.jfr and jdk.management.jfr modules. Prior to this, Erik worked in the Java Mission Control team on tooling for the JRockit JVM.

Currently, Erik is working on streaming JFR events for monitoring, i.e. dashboards and triggers. The backend has in the past been limited to file dumps, which is not suited for environments where data from a large number of servers need to be collected and aggregated.
