OK.  I've said everything I can say on this topic, except this:

I would like to commend you personally Guido, and everyone else on this list
for their willingness to reopen what is no doubt was a painful discussion.
Leo and I can live with whatever you decide.  I hope you can convince most
Python users that the choice is a good one.  Bye for now.
