As Steven says, on my Win7 machine, I do not have 'Lucida Grande' and it wasn't until he mentioned this that I compared the experience of the site with my MacBook (which looks much better!). This machine has both 'Lucida Sans Unicode' and 'Lucida Sans' and it's a toss-up to me which is better -- one is better than the other in certain contexts. Presumably, the character coverage of the Unicode font makes it the superior choice. Personally, I would leave Tahoma out of the list -- the kerning of the font is really aggressive and I find it much harder to read than Verdana. -- Scott Dial scott at scottdial.com
