Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
--> class Test():
...   pass
...
--> t = Test()
--> t.__class__
<class '__main__.Test'>
--> import types
--> class Test():
...   __class__ = types.FunctionType
...
--> t = Test()
--> t.__class__
<class 'function'>
--> isinstance(t, types.FunctionType)
True
