AFAIK, the ANSI SQL wildcard for multiple characters is % (percent sign),
and for a single character is _ (underscore).  These would equate to * and ?
in DOS land...

I'm new to list.
I'm looking at gadfly to use SQL with python.
Does anyone know how to implement the wildcard in gadfly SQL?
e.g.
Select * from table where fieldname = 'A*'
or
Select * from table where fieldname like 'A*'

* does not work!
Though it does in other SQL languages
