Hi Aahz, Andrew & Tim,

Thank you very much for your answers to my question.
My problem was the "r'...'". I misunderstood its function (as I said: these
are my fist steps in Python).

I also thank you for your comments on Python & strings, Tim. I don't know
yet if I am 'thinking in Perl'. I like it, but I am certainly not a real
Perl adept. I am still looking for the right language for me. As my first
impression of Python is very good, I think I'll be around here for a
while...
