Do work for Sun for free, then give it all to Sun! Blackdown may be source available, but it isn't open source. I tend to consider that before I spend any time with anybody else's source code. Anyway, if you do want to influence Sun, you could do that. But I don't think you could make microthreads a Java standard that easily; Sun can try to adopt it, but then *all* the other JVM implementors will howl that Sun keeps changing the standard, that Sun wants to kill all other JVMs, and so on. Sun will say it's innovating. And they'd all be right. So Sun will think hard before it'd do this, even if it's thrown into its lap. Unless you're sure a stackless, microthreaded JVM won't introduce any incompatibilities, of course. Regards, Martijn -- History of the 20th Century: WW1, WW2, WW3?
