Has anyone given any thought to a Frontier-like app, with persistant object database, built-in script/outline/text editing/debugging, all the power of Python modules for web/mail/SOAP client/server, etc.? It'd be a cross between Smalltalk and gnu emacs on steroids (to use some available metaphors). Some folks have given thought to making Python available as yet another language under Frontier, but that's not what I mean--I think you'd need something more natively Pythonic. There's a lot of synergy in the Frontier system, because of its combination of features, and I think such a tool in the Python world, with a full-fledged Python bias, could be quite interesting. -- Cheers! / Chris Ryland, President / Em Software, Inc. / www.emsoftware.com
