I prefer mailing lists if a news group does not exist. And if the
participants are too stupid to use a decent MUA it's not the right
forum. I dislike having to load banners and I very much dislike
having to stay online to read postings. Period.

BTW: Did you check the web message board's software how it prevents
cross-site scripting attacks, if the session ID leaks through
referer URLs and such...?

No, thanks. Web discussion boards simply suck.
