I read some days ago in german linux-magazin that the performance of
Jython is about 80% of CPython when using Microsofts VM. When using one
of the Java ports of linux (blackdown or IBM) the performance is only
20 or 30% of CPython, but i have not done any benchmarks to support that
statement.
