I run Pygmy, which is an email client written in Python; CGI programs for the web, even entire web servers
(Zope for instance), pretty much anything can be done in Python.  Operating systems are about the only
thing it's not suitable for.

  Hello, I know nothing about Python but before I start learning I would like to know what Python is usually "used" for, I mean I don't think it's made to write some kinda application or something, so what exaclty is it used for?
