I am spending rather much time trying to build a project using CGI scripts written in Python. But am I wasting my time? I could not find much Python hosting, and none free (except a french one that I can not register into) for Python CGI scripts! I wish python.org would give you the opportunity to test small, low bandwidth, CGI scripts for free. It would help Python become more popular and it could be a showcase for good Python CGI programming, with an annual competition for "best" CGI-based websites perhaps? You could test your CGI scripts there until they are sufficiently mature so you can make money with them and pay for a commercial host or start a host yourself. As it is now I am afraid using Python for CGI is going to die a slow death if it is not dead already. And **no**, I don't want to run a (CGI-)webserver myself (Twisted) or use Zope. I want Python to become more popular, especially for CGI. So you could expect your local ISP to be able to host your scripts. About python web hosting: http://www.python.org/cgi-bin/moinmoin/PythonHosting See all those old Python version there? ''' Woman on Street: Sir, you are drunk; very, very drunk. Winston Churchill: Madame, you are ugly; very, very ugly. I shall be sober in the morning. '''
