Perhaps. But I suspect it isn't that simple since ...
I'd think even if I don't use the extern keyword the compiler
should be able to figure it out. (As a service to the programmer.)
And it shouldn't be very difficult to do.

I'll probably not try this out for a while,
but maybe you can check it yourself or ask someone that knows C.
