Haskell is slowly moving this way see for example
http://www.haskell.org/ghc/docs/latest/html/users_guide/syntax-extns.html#unicode-syntax

But its not so easy the lambda does not work straight off -- see
http://hackage.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/1102
