Mac Gargan, the vicious criminal known Scorpion usurped the Venom name and powers, becoming a member of the Thunderbolts and the Dark Avengers under its name. When the symbiote was weaponized by the government, Agent Venom was the alias of Flash Thompson. Another villainous Venom for a time was Lee Price. Brock's son, Dylan Brock also used the symbiote under the codename Codex. As of recent, Mary Jane Watson has covertly embraced the position of an all-new Venom in a forced connection with the symbiote she explores to combat crime.
