A-type star

The A-type star was a class of main sequence stars characterized by their blue-white color and with surface temperatures ranging from 7,500 to 10,000 Kelvin. On United Earth and United Federation of Planets star charts, stars belonging to this class were identified by a light blue circular symbol. Sirius A was an example of an A-type star.
