Gamma Vertis IV was the inhabited fourth planet in its star system. This planet was located somewhere in the Alpha or Beta Quadrant and was the homeworld for a civilization of mutes. Kirk likened Gem's species to this civilization in 2268. (TOS: "The Empath")
