Leonard Crofoot

Leonard Crofoot (born 20 September 1948; age 77) is the actor who portrayed three different characters on two Star Trek spin-off television series. He only received credit as Trent in "Angel One".

Leonard Crofoot revealed in a 2024 interview with Bryan Kreutz and Lili Fox-Lim on "A Captain's Log", that he initially auditioned for one of three Ferengi characters very early on in Star Trek: The Next Generation's first season episode "The Last Outpost" and how the casting directors asked him to tell his agent they'd be calling about a different role, ultimately for the character Trent in "Angel One". Leonard Crofoot appeared alongside Tom Morga with panelists Bryan Kreutz, Lili Fox-Lim and Melissa T. Miller at the 2025 Ontario Comic Con on 17 May 2025, telling stories of his Star Trek memories revealing he received valuable advice from Brent Spiner on how to make android like robotic movements while playing Lal in the Star Trek: The Next Generation third season episode "The Offspring". Crofoot was born in Utica, New York, the eldest of three children, brother Ronnie, and sister Gayle, all dancers. His sister Gayle appeared in two separate eras with the hit TV series "Solid Gold". He began his acting career by co-starring in A Reflection of Fear (1973, starring Sally Kellerman). Leonard Crofoot also appeared on Broadway and also works as a dancer appearing in such films as "The Singing Detective" (2003), co-starring Saul Rubinek and Clyde Kusatsu) and prior to that "Echoes" in 1982 as Danny.

Leonard Crofoot wrote and performed a one-man performance/dance piece called Nijinsky Speaks, exploring the life of legendary dancer Vaslav Nijinsky in New York and Los Angeles.
