Junior officers eating street corn
Street corn was corn on the cob that was sold in the streets of certain cities.
It usually was a popular type of Mexican food that consisted of a corn-on-the-cob smothered in, among other things, a creamy sauce, garlic, and cilantro.
Ensign Jet Manhaver often ate street corn, and he ended up getting a kernel on his collar, which made it appear he had got a promotion, since it looked like he had an extra pip. He shared his street corn with D'Vana Tendi, Sam Rutherford, and Beckett Mariner. (LD: "Kayshon, His Eyes Open")
