Adventure was a 13-panel Star Trek: The Original Series comic strip, the first of two released by Larami Corporation in 1979. The story was printed on a paper spool and read by loading it into a Star Trek Space Viewer toy. In this story, a transporter malfunction plagued the USS Enterprise.

Summary[]
Leonard McCoy warned that Kirk and Spock were taking on a dangerous mission, and both officers showed concern as they stood on the transporter platform. Montgomery Scott was worried that the planet's fog would interfere with the system, but Kirk and Spock safely beamed down and completed their mission. However, the transporter shorted out when Kirk called for beam-out. Scott repaired the system in about a minute. Spock thought it was a close call.

- The comic strip's packaging was branded for TOS movie: The Motion Picture. While crew uniforms were colored using the palette from the Starfleet uniform (early 2270s), the detailing on the uniforms was that of the older style Starfleet uniform (2265-2270). The USS Enterprise, both inside and out, was depicted in its pre-refit configuration, suggesting a placement in the late 2260s.
