Amorphous was a Ferengi deity who was considered the shaper of their kind’s dreams of avarice. None swore under this god’s name lightly and lying in the name of Amorphous was not done amongst Ferengi.
In 2369, Glav swore on Amorphous that he did not intend to put any of Quark’s establishment or personal fortune in any financial risk. This restored some degree of faith in Quark as he did not believe anyone envoked the name of this Ferengi deity. (DS9 novel: The Siege)
