The Ardak-4 was an early model of the Ardak molecular synthesizer, capable of bonding 4 molecular chains per nanosecond. This information could be found in the USS Enterprise's database.

By 2260s it was considered outdated. One such model was found in Brother Stephen's laboratory on Pollux V.

It was used by Dr. Leonard McCoy to synthesize a hypo-dytoxin from laxarian berry. (TOS video game: Star Trek: 25th Anniversary)
