History and specifics[]

The main settlement was Freya City, located at a desert. A hillside overlooked the city.

In the 32nd century, Atalis IV was threatened by drought. The inhabitants relied on couriers to supply parts to keep the water-reclamation plant going.

In the 3180s decade, the White Palm cartel blockaded Atalis IV in a bid to incorporate them into warlord Remington's fledgling empire. Iliana Pa'Dan was the last courier to keep running the blockade.

Circa three weeks following Michael Burnham's arrival in this century, Pa'Dan's ship was destroyed by White Palm raiders over Atalis IV, leaving Pa'Dan stranded.

Burnham and Pa'Dan, supported by the courier network, later worked together to overthrow Remington and end the White Palm blockade of Atalis. (DSC novel: Wonderlands)
