Carson Taller is an archeologist and former Starfleet officer, he is the father of Afsarah Eden and the husband of Miles Jobin.

Biography[]

Taller served in Starfleet but resigned his commission to follow his husband in his research on a mysterious anomaly.

After several failed attempt to analyze it Jobin decided to enter it with his starship and found himself in a garden with his husband, when Taller touched a fruit from a tree they were both amazed to see the fruit turn into a little girl that rapidly grew to young age in front of their eyes.

Founding themselves trapped in the Omega Continuum they started to grow desperate until Jobin wished to bring his husband and their newfound daughter to safety, causing the Continuum to let them go.

From that point forward Jobin and Taller started to travel the galaxy in order to find answers to their unanswered questions but decided to send their daughter to Earth, afraid that their search could be dangerous and knowing that she needed more human contact.

In the end they decided to go back to the anomaly but this action led to disastrous results: Taller was trapped in the Omega Continuum and Jobin became obsessed with saving him and protecting their daughter from the Continuum.

Taller remained trapped for forty years and met the crew of the starships trapped in the Continuum when Project Full Circle sent a fleet in the Delta Quadrant.

When Captain Bal Itak proposed to destroy the ships trapped in the Continuum in order to stop the accelerated decay of the multiverse he refused to commit suicide because he felt the presence of his long-lost daughter.

After the sacrifice of Afsarah and Junior to seal away the Omega Continuum and repair the balance of the Multiverse he found himself unexpectedly reunited with his husband on his starship back in the Beta Quadrant. (VOY novel: The Eternal Tide)
