Hana was a star system, a type F white binary star system located in the Celes sector and Regulus sector block, in the space of the galaxy's Beta Quadrant. In the 25th century was the site of a Federation mining outpost. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Hana System Patrol")

History and specifics[]

Until the 22nd century, the Hana system consisted of twin Class-F stars and three worlds in a triple planet configuration, orbiting closely around the binaries. In the year 2166, of the Hana stars went supernova and devastated Hana Prime. By the 2400s decade, several mining outposts had been built near the core of the blasted world. There were two anomalies in the system, including a pocket of hydrazine gas. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Hana System Patrol")

The Hana system appeared on a star map used by Starfleet during the Federation-Klingon War of 2256-2257 in the year 2256. (STO - Age of Discovery mission: "The Shadow Knows")

During a Na'kuhl offensive in the Temporal Cold War, Hana was marked on a Starfleet star map in 2270. (STO - Agents of Yesterday mission: "In the Shadow of Cestus")

During the Federation-Klingon War of 2405-2410, the Klingons took over a mining outpost near Hana III and placed disruptor cannon weapon platforms nearby. In the year 2409, Captain Akira Sulu and Commander Samuel Winters dispatched the Starfleet escort USS Mirek to the sytem to repel the Klingons. Captain Jason Leonard secured the support of another Starfleet ship in order to destroy the Klingon defenses and dislodge t he invaders. A strike team of the Mirek secured the system.
