The IRW Spectre was a Spectre-class Romulan starship. Command of this vessel was given to Soleta by Praetor Hiren. (NF novel: After the Fall)
Service history[]
By 2379, the Spectre was engaged in several espionage missions on behalf of Praetor Hiren and was under orders to maintain radio silence; for this reason the crew was unaware of Shinzon's coup and when they approached the Romulan Neutral Zone they were ambushed by several warbirds.
The crew later committed mutiny when it learned that Soleta had no intention to return to Romulan space and although Lucius and the other mutineers managed to trap Soleta in the brig they were all killed for the exception of Lucius when Soleta vented the crew into space.
The ship remained under the command of Soleta and Lucius until 2379 when Lucius stole the ship with the help of Selar in order to deliver Cwansi and Rulan 12 to the D'myurj, still the plan failed when Selar changed her mind and Rulan 12 killed Lucius. (NF novel: Treason)
The ship was destroyed when Soleta detonated it in order to seal a wormhole that led to the pocket universe of the Dayan. (NF novel: The Returned, Part 3)
