Janet Kinsolving (born 2240s) was a blonde 24th century Human woman, a member of Starfleet aboard the Federation starship USS Enterprise-D, assigned as a yeoman and trainee biologist.
Biography[]
In the 2360s decade, Janet was 22 years old when assigned to an away team commanded by William T. Riker to investigate the world Amon-4.
Though her tricorder readings showed that the atmosphere was breathable, Commander Riker insisted they follow protocol and continue to wear atmosphere suits.
Kinsolving, believing that there was nothing contaminating the atmosphere, removed her helmet. She fell prey to a subvirus that ate all her biological tissue, reducing her to nothing as her colleagues watched helplessly. (TNG novel: Chains of Command)
